This privacy policy explains how Welding Simulator Wiki ("we", "us") handles information when you visit https://welding-simulator.wiki/. We do not operate user accounts on this wiki and we do not ask you to log in to read guides.

What we collect directly

The site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run our own database of visitors. The only personal data we receive directly is what you choose to send by email (for example a correction or a copyright notice) — we use it only to respond to that message.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare)

Cloudflare processes basic request data (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) to deliver the site, mitigate abuse, and provide performance and security features. Their practices are described in Cloudflare's privacy policy .

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 — if we configure a measurement ID for this site, Google Analytics loads as soon as a page opens. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and sends page-view and device information to Google, which processes it under Google's privacy policy . This site does not show a cookie consent banner, so there is no accept-or-decline step before it runs. To opt out, block cookies or the script in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on . If no measurement ID is configured, GA4 never runs.

Cloudflare Web Analytics — Cloudflare can add its own analytics script to pages at its network edge, whether or not this site's code loads it, and it is active on this domain. The script is served from static.cloudflareinsights.com and collects cookieless, aggregate page-view and performance statistics. To avoid it, block that address in your browser or with a content blocker.

Advertising

We may show ads to help pay for hosting. Ads appear only when ad slots are configured in our deployment settings. When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads; you can manage ad personalization in your browser and via Google Ads Settings . When Adsterra units are enabled, Adsterra may set cookies or similar identifiers as described in their policy. If no ad environment variables are set, you will not see ad units from this site.

Comments

If we enable giscus on article pages, loading comments pulls an embedded view from giscus.app and GitHub. Viewing or signing in to comment is subject to GitHub's terms and privacy policy. When giscus is not configured, comment sections do not appear.

Embedded videos

Our guides cite YouTube videos as sources and link to them. A plain link loads nothing from YouTube until you click it, and YouTube's privacy policy applies once you do. If a guide ever embeds a player instead, thumbnail images may load from Google's image CDN before you press play, and after you press play the player loads from YouTube (often via youtube-nocookie.com).

Cookies and your choices

If we enable analytics or advertising, those services may set cookies in your browser. This site does not show a cookie consent banner, so your choice is made in your browser: clear or block cookies there, and use the opt-out links in the sections above. Blocking cookies may limit ad personalization or analytics but should not stop you from reading our guides.

Children's privacy

Welding Simulator on Roblox is played by many ages. This wiki is general reference material, not directed at collecting data from children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
